Cosmetics brand Dazzle Me has announced the termination of its partnership with actress Maris Racal. The decision comes in the wake of the recent controversy involving Racal and actor Anthony Jennings.
In an Instagram post on December 5, Dazzle Me expressed its appreciation for Racal's contributions to the brand but cited a need to align with its core values. The statement read, "After thoughtful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end our partnership with Maris Racal. While we value her energy, humor, and authenticity, we believe that moving in a different direction is necessary to remain consistent with the principles that guide our brand."
The brand's decision follows the public exposure of private conversations between Jennings and Racal, shared by Jennings' former partner, Jam Villanueva. The leaked messages suggest an intimate relationship between the two actors while Jennings was still with Villanueva.
Dazzle Me concluded its statement by emphasizing the importance of kindness and empathy in the online space, encouraging individuals to make choices aligned with their values and principles.
Racal was named the first brand ambassador of Dazzle Me Philippines in September 2023. She and Jennings have collaborated on several projects, including the series "Can't Buy Me Love" and the upcoming film "And The Bread Winner Is..."
