A bombshell lawsuit filed on Sunday accuses rap mogul Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old girl along with Sean "Diddy" Combs at a party in 2000. The amended complaint, filed in federal court, names Jay-Z as a defendant, having previously been identified as "Celebrity A" in the original suit.
Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations on social media, calling the lawsuit a "blackmail attempt" by the plaintiff's lawyer, Tony Buzbee.
The lawsuit alleges that the unnamed victim was drugged and raped by both Jay-Z and Combs at a party following the 2000 MTV Music Awards in New York City. Buzbee, who has filed numerous lawsuits against Combs alleging sexual misconduct, stated that the Jay-Z lawsuit "speaks for itself" and will be litigated in court.
Buzbee further claimed that his firm had attempted to mediate a settlement with Jay-Z, who responded by filing a lawsuit against Buzbee and allegedly orchestrating a harassment campaign against the lawyer and his firm. In a social media post, Buzbee emphasized that the victim has not sought financial compensation, only a confidential mediation.

Both Jay-Z and Combs have denied the allegations against them. Combs is currently incarcerated on federal sex trafficking charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
