Roger Gorayeb Denies Rumors of Recruiting Alyssa Valdez to Capital1

Manila, Philippines – Capital1 Solar Energy Solar Spikers head coach Roger Gorayeb has dismissed social media rumors suggesting he is recruiting Creamline Cool Smashers star Alyssa Valdez to his team.

In an interview with Abante on Friday, Gorayeb clarified that he has not spoken with his former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles player about a possible move to Capital1.

“Hindi iyan totoo. Huwag kang nagpapaniwala sa FB (Facebook),” Gorayeb said, dismissing the rumors outright.

The rumors, which circulated on various social media pages, claimed Gorayeb was eyeing Valdez to bolster the Solar Spikers’ roster. Aside from the Blue Eagles, Gorayeb also coached Valdez during her stints with the national women’s volleyball team and the PLDT squad in the Shakey’s V-League.

Despite the denial, the rumors have sparked discussions among volleyball fans, with many speculating on the potential impact of Valdez joining Capital1. However, Gorayeb’s statement puts an end to these speculations, at least for now.

Valdez, a highly respected and influential figure in Philippine volleyball, is currently a key player for the Creamline Cool Smashers. Her skills and experience have made her a valuable asset to the team, and she continues to be a fan favorite.

As the Philippine volleyball scene continues to evolve, fans will be eager to see what the future holds for both Alyssa Valdez and the Capital1 Solar Energy Solar Spikers.
