Two of South Korea's biggest stars, Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo, are joining forces for an upcoming Netflix historical drama series titled "Slowly but Intensely."  The news has sent waves of excitement through the online community, with fans eagerly anticipating the on-screen chemistry between these two powerhouse actors.

Set against the backdrop of the 1960s and 1970s, "Slowly but Intensely" promises a captivating glimpse into the world of broadcasting during that era. The series will delve into the lives of both the stars in the spotlight and the individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes to create them.

Filming for the highly anticipated drama officially commenced on January 12th, according to a report by Soompi. The series marks a significant reunion for both actors with key creative figures.  Song Hye Kyo will be collaborating with writer Noh Hee Kyung for the third time, following their successful partnerships in the dramas "Worlds Within" (2008) and "That Winter, The Wind Blows" (2013).

Fresh off her critically acclaimed performance in the Netflix revenge series "The Glory," Song Hye Kyo has already generated buzz for her new look, sporting a chic short haircut for her role in "Slowly but Intensely."

Meanwhile, Gong Yoo is reuniting with director Lee Yoon Jung, with whom he previously worked on the iconic 2007 romantic comedy "Coffee Prince." This reunion has sparked nostalgia among fans who fondly remember the actor's charming portrayal in the beloved series.

"Slowly but Intensely" is slated for a 22-episode run and is expected to be released exclusively on Netflix. With filming projected to wrap up in the first half of this year, fans can anticipate the drama's premiere sometime later in 2025.
