Quentin Millora-Brown Seeks P1 Million Monthly Salary in MPBL - Report

Filipino-American center Quentin Millora-Brown is reportedly demanding a hefty P1 million monthly salary to play in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), according to retired PBA player Gerry Esplana.

Speaking on his DWAR Abante Radyo’s SPORTALAKAN program, Esplana revealed that his "bubwit" (informant) disclosed Millora-Brown's updated salary expectations. This marks a significant increase from previous offers the 6-foot-10 center received.

"The latest is, according to my bubwit, QMB is asking for P1 million (per month)," Esplana stated. He speculated that Millora-Brown's  experience and potential overseas offers likely influenced his asking price. "He's 25, quite seasoned with his experiences.  He might be asking for P1 million because he has an offer (abroad), but it's also tough to play abroad because you're far from your family. If the offer abroad isn't that far from P1 million, he might as well stay here."

Esplana shared that Millora-Brown had previously been offered P600,000 per month by the Quezon Huskers and P650,000 monthly by the Abra Weavers. "It's like bidding," Esplana remarked.

This news comes as Millora-Brown explores opportunities in the MPBL and the PBA while remaining open to playing overseas. His impressive performance in UAAP Season 87, where he averaged 14 points, nine rebounds, and 2.3 assists for the champion UP Fighting Maroons, has undoubtedly increased his market value.

Whether any MPBL team will meet Millora-Brown's  demanding salary remains to be seen.
