Manila, Philippines - Tech giant Apple announced on Tuesday the release of iOS 10, dubbed as the biggest of world's popular mobile operating system.
Apple said that it's giving you the power to remove native mobile apps on iOS 10 when it published an official support page detailing the feature for beta testers.
"iOS 10 is our biggest release ever, with delightful new ways to express yourself in Messages, a native app for Home automation, and beautifully redesigned apps for Music, Maps, and News that are more intuitive and more powerful, making everything you love about your iPhone and iPad even better," said Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering.
On these system, what is not mention is that you can't really delete stock apps, you can only remove them from your home screen. When you delete a stock application on iOS 10, it will lose its configuration. However, its binary file will remain in your system even if you can't see its icon anymore, said in Apple blogger John Gruber.
Apple said that preview of iOS 10 is already available to iOS Developer Program members while the public beta program will be available to iOS users in July.
