Mother Reunite With Her Deceased Daughter Through Virtual Reality

As the world continues to develop more technology to provide people there needs, this virtual reality (VR) technology goes beyond to even reaching the far side of the world of the dead.

Losing a friend, partner or family is everyday possibility, we don't know when to happen. Even the feeling that we missed them for sometime and we wanted to feel them by any means.

In 2016, Jang Ji-sung’s seven-year-old daughter Nayeon died of an incurable disease. Three years later, the South Korean mother was reunited with Nayeon — sort of — in a virtual world created for a televised documentary.

The TV program “MBC Documentary Special” produced the VR experience for Jang Ji-sung. Aju Business Daily reported on Friday, Feb. 7. Nayeon remains close to her heart; she even has a necklace of her daughter’s bone powder.

Jang is emotional when she sees and hears her daughter call out “mom.”

“Where have you been, mom? Did you think about me?” Nayeon asks, to which Jang says, “I do all the time.” When her virtual daughter says she misses her mom, Jang replies, “I missed you too.”

It comes as no surprise that Jang tears up when she and Nayeon's meet in a virtual world. The rest of the family the father, brother and sister saw the emotional Jang in an empty space.
