Celebrity couple Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez has gifted their household helpers 'kasambahays' with their own apartment, so they can keep them physically bond with their families especially during pandemic.
In a recent vlog uploaded to Mariel's YouTube channel, the helpers shared their tears of joy and testimonies on how grateful they were for being part of Padilla's family.
Mariel explained that they decided to give their six helpers their own homes as a "thank you" for their hard work and sacrifices for them and their families.
“It is because they are also sacrificing so much for their families. It is because they have showed us loyalty — nagpakita sila ng pagmamahal sa amin at gusto rin naming suklian yung pinapakita nilang pagmamahal at mabuting serbisyo sa amin,” Mariel says.
“So Robin decided to take them under his wing. There’s a place wherein Robin takes care of a few Muslim families and for the very first time they opened the doors to Christians; for our staff,” she added.
The apartment building was built inside the compound of the Museo Padilla in Fairview, Quezon City.
