This four young siblings are striving to live on their own in their house in Minglanilla after their mother died of hypokalemia and their father is currently under monitoring for COVID-19 in the isolation facility, since he attended to his wife at a hospital in Cebu City.
These kids ages 14, 9, 5 and 1 year-old were not able to see their mother for the last time after she died as she was immediately buried at a public cemetery.
According to the father Bercero, "nothing could be more painful than losing his wife to an illness and being away from his kids. Yet hard as it may be, he has no choice but to comply with the local government guidelines during the community quarantine, as well as for the safety of his children," he told the The Freeman.
Bercero will have to comply with the 14-day quarantine imposed by the local government unit.
They are currently residing under Purok Kalubihan, Sitio Panaghiusa-Dos in Barangay Tunghaan, is originally from Ozamiz City, but moved to Cebu in hopes of looking for greener pastures, according to the eldest of four kids, Marjun.
Marjun, the eldest of the siblings, who served as the head of the family in the meantime said that though it was painful for the lost of their mother, but he need to be strong.
