The Department of Health (DOH) registered a record high in single day COVID cases on Friday, March 26 with 9,838 additional infections.
The new infections have brought the country to a total of 702,856 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of the active cases, 95.1% have mild symptoms, 3% are asymptomatic, 0.7% are in critical condition, 0.8% have severe symptoms, and 0.42% are in moderate condition.
According to the Health department, seven testing laboratories were not yet included in the latest count since they were not able to submit data on time.
Meanwhile, there are 663 new recoveries were recorded, raising the total to 580,689. The death toll also jumped to 13,149 after 54 more patients died.
