Fellow celebrities are sending messages of support to Raymond Gutierrez after the TV personality came out as gay.
On her Instagram post, Raymond, the twin brother of actor Richard Gutierrez and son of known celebrity couple Eddie Gutierrez and Anabelle Rama said, "it took a while for me to face my true identity and figuring it out wasn't easy."
However, Raymond also added that the road to self-acceptance was an immensely "dark phase of self destruction," saying that he created "unhealthy habits to have some sort of escape so (he) didn't have to face (his) reality."
" I went through a long period of time hating myself because society taught me that being different wasn’t the right path, especially for someone growing up in the public eye."
" I kept things to myself because I was scared to bring shame to my family, and didn’t know how others would treat me," he said.
Fellow celebrities took to social media to congratulate Raymond for having the courage to publicly come out, which Anne Curtis sent her love to the actor "LOVE YOU 💘 You already know what I want to add to this comment 😋."
