Police has arrested on Wednesday the 'kasambahay' suspected of stealing a jewelry collection and cash of Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope Libiran of the Department of Transportation.
According to Lt. Col. Vicente Castor, town chief of police, the suspect was held for another robbery complaint filed against her in Laguna province. Authorities have received information that the a suspect, who goes by the name of Marilou Morales was hiding in Gueguesangen village.
"We verified the information and found that she had a warrant of arrest through the E-warrant," Castor told the Inquirer.

"Nahuli na po si Malou (a.k.a Marilou Morales, Marilou Fernandez, Marilyn Delos Reyes, Malou Mislang) sa Mangaldan, Pangasinan, but for a ROBBERY case that was filed against her last year in Laguna. May isa pa syang pending case for robbery sa Cavite naman.
"When media asked her if it is true that she stole my money and jewelries, she did not deny. She said:
"Opo. Pero sabi ng pinagbentahan ko, fancy daw. Kaya PINAMIGAY ko na lang lahat. Kahit mga nakuha sa Cavite, Laguna, fancy... Pinamigay ko na rin lahat.
"Di ko alam kung magagalit, maiiyak, o matatawa ako sa babaeng ito eh," Libiran said on her Facebook post.
Libiran estimated the value of the stolen jewelry which include rings, diamond earrings, an Apple watch, a techno-marine watch, and others worth P1.2 million.
