Palawan Police have begun investigating a human remains found in Purok Pulang Lupa, Sta Lourdes, Puerto Princesa.
Several belongings such as IDs of Jovelyn Galleno was found in the location. Still there's no confirmation if the human remains belong to woman who went missing almost three weeks now.
Two cousins are the suspect to the case, according to the local media reports.
Last August 21, a fight broke out between the two cousins who was a suspect to the case of Galleno. The two stabbed each other during an argument. While in the police custody, the suspects open up about Galleno's disappearance and where they can find her.
According to the police issued statement, a "suspect identified as Leobert Agellieno Dasmariñas, disclosed that he knew the location of the reported missing person Jovelyn Galleno and according to him it was located at Purok Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City.
"Immediately, personnel of the Police Station 2, together with intelligence Operatives of PPCPO, Palawan PPO and Puerto Princesa City Foreign sic Unit personnel proceeded to the area and upon arrival, they saw skeletal remains lying on the grassy area," the statement said.
Investigations are still on going to determine if the human remains belongs to Galleno.
