Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda is stepping up to help Gab Chee Kee who is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to pneumonia.
In his social media account, Miranda appeals for financial help for Chee Kee who was diagnosed with lymphoma in late 2022 and has been undergoing chemotherapy.
"Unfortunately, due to complications brought about by his condition, he is now battling pneumonia and was recently transferred sa ICU and has been intubated for more than a week already," said Miranda.
Chee Kee's health condition was initially not supposed to be revealed, but they convinced him to share in order to raise funds for his medication.
Miranda recalled that they have supposed to postponed a gig to wait for his recovery but Chee Kee insisted to continue their performance.
"I asked my bandmates na kung pwede, wag nalang din muna kami tumugtog habang wala si Gab.
"Pero kina-usap kami ni Gab and asked us to continue playing, because he doesn't want us to stop playing just because we're waiting for him to get better.
"So we did."
Miranda also announced that a fundraising concert for Chee Kee is set with lots of acts will going to participate including Ebe Dancel, Kamikazee, Gloc9, Shanti Dope, Flow G, Gracenote, December Avenue, POT, Moonstar and Moira dela Torre .
