Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo was showered with more accolades this week when pawnshop chain Cebuana Lhuillier gifted him with three crafted gold bars. The precious metals were a token of appreciation for Yulo's remarkable achievements at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Cebuana Lhuillier executives personally presented the gold bars to Yulo during a recent event. Jean Henri Lhuillier, the company's president and also the head of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines, expressed his admiration for Yulo's dedication and unwavering pursuit of excellence.
In addition to the gold bars, Cebuana Lhuillier Bank made a significant donation to the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines to support their grassroots program. The exact amount of the donation was not disclosed, but reports indicate that it may have been around P100,000.
Yulo has been inundated with rewards and recognition since his historic wins in Paris. He has received substantial cash prizes from both the government and private companies, as well as luxury properties, cars, and lifetime food deals. These honors reflect the nation's pride and admiration for Yulo's extraordinary accomplishments.
