Local Theater Mourns Loss of Beloved Dog "Murlock" at Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical

The local theater community is in mourning following the passing of Deevo, the beloved pooch who played Murlock in the recent production of "Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical." Newport World Resorts Musicals, the production's staging partner, announced Deevo's death on their official Facebook page.

"We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our beloved Deevo, who brought so much joy and life to 'Buruguduystunstugudunstuy' as Murlock," the social media post read. "Our thoughts and sympathies go out to everyone who loved Deevo."

Social media users and fans of the musical expressed their condolences, with many noting that Deevo was their favorite part of the already-highlight-filled show. Murlock is the pet dog of Kyle Napuli's character Aiza, one of the four lead female characters transported to a different dimension.

In the alternate dimension, Murlock is portrayed by Jules dela Paz and is friends with Boo Gabunada's Buloy – both names originating from Parokya ni Edgar's debut hit song "Buloy," inspired by a close friend of the band who tragically took his own life. Coincidentally, Murlock also meets a similar fate in the song "Buloy," as mentioned in the lyric "Hoy, hoy, Buloy, naalala mo pa ba? Nung araw na nadedo ang aso mong si Murlock?"

Full House Theateruy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical" again in the future. However, for now, the company is focused on developing a musical based on the songs of Jonathan Manalo.
