Fiji Blue Serenades Manila with Heartfelt Music

American indie pop artist Fiji Blue, known for his soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics, captivated Filipino fans during his recent "Glide Tour" in Manila.

The concert, held on November 29th, marked the singer's highly anticipated return to the Philippines after a two-year hiatus. Dering, the artist's real name, treated the audience to a captivating blend of groovy and melancholic tracks, including fan favorites like "I Should've Told You," "I Loved You What Happened," and "How Can I Tell You?"

The singer-songwriter also performed a selection of his earlier hits, such as "Day by Day," "Waves," "Affection," "Outside," "Butterflies," and "It Takes Two."

To the delight of his fans, Dering also performed tracks from his upcoming debut album, "Glide," including the previously released "Peppermint," "Start Over," "Angel," and "June." He even offered a sneak peek of unreleased songs like "Shadow of You," "Pink," and "Beautiful."

Inspired by his wife Natasha's battle with brain cancer, "Glide" is a deeply personal album that explores themes of love, loss, and hope. Dering poured his heart and soul into the album, crafting a collection of songs that resonate with listeners on an emotional level.

Reflecting on the album's creation process, Dering shared, "I fell in love with the process... It encapsulated a year of highs and lows of my life." He credits a weeklong retreat in Topanga for inspiring much of the album's songwriting.

Dering's music has touched the lives of countless fans worldwide. He remains humbled by the impact of his work, acknowledging the power of music to heal and connect.

The Manila leg of the Glide Tour was presented by Wilbros Live.
