Kings Crush Warriors in Dominant Performance at Chase Center

  • Kings Get Revenge in First Trip to Chase Center Since Brown Firing

SAN FRANCISCO – The Sacramento Kings delivered a resounding message to the Golden State Warriors and the rest of the league on Sunday night, securing a commanding 129-99 victory despite missing their leading scorer, De'Aaron Fox.  Malik Monk stepped up in Fox's absence, exploding for 26 points and 12 assists, while Domantas Sabonis notched a double-double with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists.

The Kings dominated from the opening tip, establishing an early lead and never looking back. Their offensive firepower was on full display, with the team racking up 75 points by halftime.  The Warriors, seemingly stunned by the Kings' intensity, struggled to find their rhythm. Even with Stephen Curry back in the lineup after resting on Saturday, Golden State couldn't keep pace. Curry finished with 26 points and 7 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins added 18 points.

This win marked Sacramento's first trip to Chase Center since the controversial firing of their former coach, Mike Brown, who previously served as the Warriors' top assistant.  Golden State coach Steve Kerr reiterated his surprise at Brown's dismissal, adding another layer of intrigue to the matchup.

The Kings' performance was a statement win, showcasing their depth and resilience even without their star player. With their fourth consecutive victory, Sacramento is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference.
