  • Adiwang highlights Zamboanga's superior boxing and striking ability as key advantages.
  • He also believes Zamboanga can neutralize Rassohyna's grappling and utilize her size advantage.
  • Adiwang predicts a victory for Zamboanga, stating that she has all the tools to win.

Filipino MMA star Lito Adiwang is throwing his full support behind compatriot Denice Zamboanga as she prepares to challenge for the ONE Interim Atomweight MMA World Title. Zamboanga faces Alyona Rassohyna at ONE Fight Night 27 on January 11th at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

This fight represents a long-awaited opportunity for "The Menace," who has faced numerous setbacks and postponements in her journey to a title shot. Adiwang believes that Zamboanga's patience and perseverance will be rewarded. "I wish her nothing but the best for this fight. She deserves this," he stated confidently. "I will say this is her fight to lose for sure."

Adiwang, known as "Thunder Kid" for his explosive fighting style, sees Zamboanga's boxing as a key advantage against Rassohyna. He believes that if Zamboanga can avoid any traps and utilize her sharp striking and powerful kicks, she can control the fight on the feet.

"Striking-wise, I think for as long as [Zamboanga] has prepared for it, she'll have the advantage because of her boxing," Adiwang explained. "She also has kicks in her arsenal. It might come in sparingly, but it's powerful. Her boxing is really sharp. She's got the sharper hands. She's also got power in those hands."

However, Adiwang recognizes that Zamboanga's strengths extend beyond striking. He highlighted her grappling skills and ability to neutralize Rassohyna's takedown attempts, allowing her to dictate where the fight takes place.

"When it comes to the ground game, I think she can stop Alyona's takedowns. She's got the skills and the strength to do so. She's also bigger, and I feel like her size advantage will be crucial in this fight," Adiwang observed.

With a combination of striking prowess, takedown defense, and a size advantage, Adiwang is convinced that Zamboanga has all the tools to emerge victorious.  "She's got all the advantages in this fight for sure," he declared, "and this is her fight for the taking."
