American woman arrested at NAIA for bringing undocumented baby found in luggage

Authorities has arrested American national at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after they discovered a 6-day-old Filipino baby in her luggage on Wednesday, September 4 at the terminal 3.

The woman was identified as Jennifer Erin Talbotz. Initial report said, the woman has no proper documents to bring the baby outside the country.   

The baby was placed in an oversize belt bag and it was not declared in the immigration inspection during departure process, according to news.

The baby was not discovered at first as it was not within their policy to check passengers' luggage. 
Authorities couldn't confirmed whether the middle-aged American is the mother or guardian since they did not find any travel document for the infant.

The woman was brought to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office for questioning, but the American National refused to cooperate and asked to speak with the US Embassy officials first.

Meanwhile, Manila International Airport Authorities General Manager Ed Monreal has ordered an investigation on the incident.
