Manny Pacquiao Says Billionaire Friends Ready To Invest If Elected

Sen. Manny Pacquiao said he has at least 10 international billionaire friends on stand by to invest in the country if elected, with condition, to eradicate corruption.

"May mga kaibigan ako na mga malalaking negosyante at mga mayayaman sa ibang bansa na naka-ready na tumulong sa Pilipinas. Ayaw lang talaga nila itong napakatinding korapsyon sa ating gobyerno," said Pacquiao.

He also said that it's really hard to invite investors to come to the country if the neighboring countries are imposing lower corporate tax at 20% only. But for Pacquiao he wants "flat 15%", revealing Singapore is at 17% only.

"Kailangan nating pababain ang ating corporate tax at palakasin ang ating nontax revenues," he added.

If elected, he also promised to stop red tape by strengthening the implementation of the Republic Act 11032 or the "Ease of Doing Business Act" to ensure all related business permits and documents are processed in not more than three days.
