OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT RECEIVES P100K WORTH OF ORDERS FROM FAKE BOOKINGS

The office of the Vice President spokesman revealed Monday, Nov. 22, that they had fallen prey to several deliveries from online fake bookings.

On Twitter, Barry Gutierrez revealed that someone made several fake bookings under Robredo's name and had them delivered to their office in Quezon City.

The multiple orders of various items are said to be amounting to over P100,000 good as 'cash on delivery' from Metromart, an online convenience store.

"May nagpanggap na si VP Leni at nag-multiple orders ng abot P100K+ sa Metromart. Pinadeliver sa OVP na COD. Hindi na naisipang mga delivery rider na hinassle at inaksaya ang oras," Gutierrez said.

The mixed orders are ranging from grocery items, alcohol beverages, to toys within a day, Gutierrez said.

Then a question popped up, "Ganito na ba talaga sila katakot sa atin? Dedma sa ganitong kacheapan. Laban lang!" Robredo's spokesman added.

The OVP said that they have reached out to Metromart and were able to cancel the orders and return all the "mix of orders".

"We specially insisted that nothing be charged to the delivery riders. We are super thankful to them for their assistance and cooperation. VP Leni gave the riders something to compensate them for the two hours they lost because of this scam," he told reporters.

The incident was under investigation as they were able to get the number used to the fraud.
