Ppop group SB19 is making history as the first act to dethrone the Korean superstars BTS at the No. 1 spot of Billboard's Hot Trending Songs Chart.
Their latest single 'Bazinga' has climbed from number 8 to the top spot according to the December 11 Billboard's newly-established Hot Trending Chart posted on Twitter.
The Filipino group accelerated rapidly for the first time, putting BTS behind after holding the record for a longest period of time.
BTS' 'BUTTER' and 'PERMISSION TO DANCE' hold the No. 2 and No.3 spots respectively, followed by Korea's rising K-pop musical act 'Stray Kids' for its new track "CHRISTMAS EVEL."
SB19 was also the first Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards. The group competed against BTS, Blackpink, Seventeen and Ariana Grande for the Top Social Artist awards.
The new milestone is making a buzz online, sending fans into a frenzy!
