NEGROS ORIENTAL BOARD MEMBER TEVES RESIGNS AFTER MAULING INCIDENT IN PARAÑAQUE

 Negros Oriental Board member Kurt Matthew Teves has resigned from his post following a mauling incident happened in one of subdivision in Parañaque City over the weekend.



He was allegedly caught on video beating up a security guard. Teves apologized for the incident in a press conference on Wednesday, admitted that he was wrong.






"Mangayo gyud ko ninyo ug dispensa sa nahitabo na insidente. What happened was already done. I was wrong to lay my hands on him. Whatever the reasons are, I should not have hurt him. For that, I offer my sincerest aplogies," he said.



Teves added that he is willing to accept and respect whatever decision will be made if the issue goes up to court.



"This incident is entirely on me. I should face it," he said.



He is the son of Rep. Arnulfo Teves of Negros Oriental's third district. Teves is an ex-member of the provincial board of Negros Oriental.



Rep. Arnulfo, meanwhile, said that he won't condone what his son has committed.
