Rocco Nacino revealed on Instagram that she almost lost P10K to a person who used the identity of Gabby Eigenmann.
On his Instagram post, Rocco shared a screen shots of his conversation to a person who used Gabby's photo and name. The poser called Rocco "brother" and borrowed him money, "like I'll pay it later agad around evening."
The impostor apologized Rocco for disturbing him, informing that his bank was down.
Luckily, Rocco made the decision to get in touch with Gabby himself to confirm the transaction.
"Namuntikan pa ako dahil bagong gising ako," said Rocco.
"Kasi alam ko mayaman 'tong so brother Gabby at kung meron man uutang, ako dapat 'yon sa kanya," he added.
After learning that he wasn't talking to Gabby, Rocco tried to continue his conversation to gather more information about the identity of the scammer where he later confirmed that the number was belonged to a certain "Sabina M."
"It's sad to know that may mga gumagawa talaga ng ganito. Sana maging aral ito para satin lahat na magingat palagi at magkaroon ng presence of mind lalo na kapag pera na ang usapan," he wrote.
"Sa taong ito, sana makonsensya ka sa ginagawa mo, at karma na ang bahala sayo. Kung kailangan mo ng pera, gumawa ka ng tamang paraan para makaipon. Hindi lahat nasshortcut.
"Sa mga followers ko, kung gusto niyo siya pagtripan. Ayan ang number nya will be reporting this also to the authorities para mahanap ang taong to at wala na sya maloko."
