A former flight attendant has warned the public commuters to never drink coffee or tea while onboard a plane.
According to Kat Kamalani on her TikTok video, passengers should never ask drinks using hot water because they come from water tanks that are "never cleaned". Added that she also claimed that cabin crew members "rarely" drink hot beverages during a flight.
"Don't you ever consume these products from an airline. Just promise you won't," she said.
Being in the industry for six years she said "never consume any liquid that's not in a can or a sealed bottle" as her rule number one.
"The reason being is because those water tanks are never cleaned. They are disgusting," said Kat.
"They come from the same water tank so when you're drinking coffee or tea from the hot water - it's absolutely disgusting."
However, an airline maintenance person take down her claim saying, 'just because you don't clean the tanks doesn't mean they aren't done, we do them," he said.
