The alleged abduction of a 19-year-old girl in Brgy. Sta. Maria, Trento, Agusan del Sur on Sunday that prompted her family to asked help from social media turned out to be a poorly planned and decided prank.
A search for Bebeng Arcena started after she was able to communicate with her family via messenger. In a viral exchange of message from her family, Arcena said that she was abducted by the black van.
A certain Tri Shang HsHs Facebook account started to asked for help on social media, Sunday.
According to a Facebook post, Arcena was offered for a job but it turned out she was abducted by the unknown persons. She was sealed in a dark room, but her cellphone was not taken by the abductors so she was able to contact her family, the post read.
However, according to a local media news on Wednesday, Arcena was found safe, and later in the day elaborated on the case, saying it was a prank and she went to her boyfriend in Davao City.
