A grade 7 student in Bocaue, Bulacan was forced to ride a unicycle everyday and brave the danger on the road just to keep present on school. She said, it is mandatory to save money for their food everyday.
According to 12-year-old Hannamichi, she can save money instead of riding the public transport like tricycle going to school.
"Kailangan ko talagang magtipid kasi po kung mag-tricycle ako pauwi, wala po kaming makakain," she said in an inteview with 24 Oras.
Hannamichi's video quickly went viral after Facebook user Jonathan Paa posted on social media. She was caught on video en route to her school, balancing herself with school bag slung on one shoulder while carrying her lunch box on the opposite arm.
Her daily journey takes her 30 to 45 minutes to reach her school. Her father said that she wanted to buy bicycle for Hannamichi but he could not afford as company driver.
Her father who used to work in the circus taught Hannamichi to ride.
The video has since garnered over 3.5K shares with over 6K reactions.
Lots of social media folks was inspired by the determination of young student to keep going despite the difficulties in life.
One comment said: "Go go go ate para sa pangarap ala imposible basta sa pangarap mo Godbless."
"Kahit nakakamanghang tingnan pero delikado pa rin ang isang gulong na de-padyak sa batang iyan na kalsada ang dadaanan," another one said.
After the viral video, several people sent her a new bicycle and other assistance for her school needs.
