Vlogger Donnalyn Bartolome took to social media to validate her struggle before she achieved her current fame and fortune.
Bartolome received criticisms for telling her followers to be "grateful" for returning back to their work after the holiday season.
"Bakit may sad dahil back to work na? Dapat grateful kasi may work," she wrote.

But her New Year post appeared to be not for everyone that cause other people and celebrities to react with surprise.
Known personalities like Rhadson Mendoza, JaninaVela, Kuya Kim, and Rendon Labador reacted to her post.
Some even struggle to find jobs with fair wages & work hours.
"Oo, kailangan natin maging grateful, pero valid mapagod at malungkot," said Vela.
"Basahin mo ulit para ma gets mo," Labador said.
"She was not even poor, she just chose to live in the Philippines from the US because she wanted to do her own thing, yun bang "kailangan kong pag-igihan to or else pababalikin ako sa America" kind. Kahit ano pang sabihin niyang "naghirap" din siya dati, she would never understand the struggles of real "poor" people and breadwinners. She's mainloy using her brief "stint" of being poor to justify her poverty porn and thirst for clout," one said.
While others tried to invalidate Bartolome's claimed that she have grown up poor, the influencer clapback at her haters by sharing some of her childhood and youthful pictures showing her family struggles.

"I'm posting to let you know that yung positivity na yung hindi nanggaling sa privilege, matter of fact, it came from experience," she wrote in a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday.
According to Bartolome, her life upon arriving in the Philippines was difficult, but her mother and grandfather influenced her attitude towards work.
