Clicks Technology Launches iPhone Case with Physical Keyboard

Clicks Technology, founded by tech YouTubers MrMobile and CrackBerry Kevin, aims to revolutionize iPhone typing with a new case featuring a built-in keyboard. Available for $139, the Clicks case connects directly to your iPhone without Bluetooth or battery, drawing power from the phone itself.

While some might remember the disastrous Typo keyboard case (funded by Ryan Seacrest and promptly sued by BlackBerry), Clicks takes a modern approach, offering a cheerful aesthetic and intentional design.

The case snaps onto your iPhone, reminiscent of attaching a Backbone controller. But be warned, Clicks significantly increases the phone's size, giving it a TV remote-like feel. Magnetic MagSafe accessories also won't work due to the lack of a built-in magnet. However, wireless charging remains accessible.

Clicks targets its keyboard specifically towards content creators, who often rely on physical keyboards for their work. The keyboard boasts backlight, a CMD key for iOS shortcuts, and even tactile feedback for a satisfying typing experience.

Additionally, Clicks claims its physical keys free up valuable screen real estate compared to the standard iPhone keyboard, offering a more immersive content viewing experience.

Launching with two colors (bumblebee yellow and London sky blue), Clicks has a "Founders Edition" for early adopters, promising VIP support and early access to new colors. Shipping starts February 1st for the iPhone 14 Pro, with the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max versions following in mid-March and "early spring" respectively.

Whether Clicks can overcome the drawbacks of its bulkiness and limited MagSafe compatibility remains to be seen. But for those longing for the clicky comfort of physical keys on their iPhone, Clicks offers a unique and potentially game-changing option.
