Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr is revving up for a Southeast Asian debut this year.
The company, owned by automaker Geely, plans to establish a subsidiary in Thailand and kick off sales in the first half of 2024. They'll be working with local distributors to reach Thai customers.
Zeekr's expansion ambitions don't stop there. The company has also signed deals with distributors in Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines. These markets can expect to see Zeekr vehicles roll out in the second quarter of 2024.
This move signifies Zeekr's intention to capture a share of the growing Southeast Asian EV market.
