Klook Launches TikTok Booking Feature, Taps Influencers

Travel platform Klook has introduced a new booking feature on TikTok, aiming to capitalize on the growing number of influencers in its program.

According to Marcus Yong, Klook's Global Marketing vice president, social media platforms like TikTok have become the go-to channels for travel planning. "By integrating Klook directly into users' feeds, we're offering a seamless experience that caters to the preferences of the next generation of travelers," Yong stated.

Travelers from Japan and Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, can now book their trips directly through TikTok.

Social Commerce Opportunities

The new feature also opens up opportunities for Filipino merchants participating in Klook's Kreator program to showcase popular destinations like Manila Ocean Park and Art in Island in Metro Manila and engage with TikTok users.

Kreator program members, launched in 2023, can earn money by documenting their travel experiences and sharing promo codes with their followers. Klook has also expanded its program to platforms like YouTube to meet the increasing demand for user-generated content in markets like the Philippines, Taiwan, Australia, and the United States.

This September, Klook will host a gathering of content creators in the Asia Pacific region to further strengthen its Kreator community, which now boasts over 20,000 merchants globally.

Founded in 2014, Klook offers a wide range of travel booking services, including tours and transportation, in over 2,700 destinations worldwide.
