Sarah Geronimo Joins the Maybe This Time Dance Craze

Popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo has officially joined the viral dance craze featuring her popular cover of "Maybe This Time." During a recent performance at the 2024 Tuna Festival in General Santos City, she surprised the crowd by taking on the challenge.

The dance craze began when a TikTok user created a playful and snappy dance routine for the song's bridge, which quickly went viral. Celebrities like Ysabel Ortega, Dennis Trillo, Stell Ajero, Sheena Catacutan, and Carlos Yulo have also joined in the fun.

At the Tuna Festival, Geronimo performed "Maybe This Time" along with other popular songs like "Dati-Dati," "Alam," and "Tala." Sensing the crowd's anticipation, she requested the technical team to repeat the bridge part so she could join in the dance challenge. Her husband, Matteo Guidicelli, even joined her on stage.

Originally recorded by Michael Martin Murphey in 1983, "Maybe This Time" gained popularity in the Philippines when Geronimo covered it for her 2014 film of the same name, starring opposite Coco Martin. The romantic comedy follows the story of two exes who reunite years after their breakup.
