Former Creamline Cool Smasher Risa Sato is officially a Chery Tiggo Crossover!
The PVL powerhouse announced the acquisition of the Filipino-Japanese middle blocker on Wednesday, just days before the league resumes on January 18th.
Chery Tiggo enthusiastically welcomed Sato to their fold with a Facebook post featuring a graphic of her in the team's uniform and a caption that read, "Yōkoso (welcome) Risa-san. To our newest addition to our growing family, welcome. Your skills and energy are a game-changer and we can't wait to have you on the court with us Risa Sato."
This move marks a significant shift in the PVL landscape. Sato, 30, brings a wealth of experience and a winning pedigree, having clinched 12 PVL titles throughout her career. She was instrumental in Creamline's dominant run, securing 10 championships with the Cool Smashers, including a historic Grand Slam last year.
After achieving the pinnacle of success with Creamline, Sato opted not to renew her contract, paving the way for this new chapter with Chery Tiggo. She joins a formidable Crossovers lineup that includes team captain Aby Maraño, Ara Galang, and Ces Robles.

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the PVL is about to get even more thrilling with Risa Sato on the court for the Crossovers.
