39th Gawad Urian Winners: John Lloyd Cruz and LJ Reyes win big

Manila, Philippines - John Lloyd Cruz and LJ Reyes won the best actor and actress awards at the 39th Gawad Urian. The announcement came on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Kia Theater.

John Lloyd won the honor for the film "Honor Thy Father," while LJ Reyes won best actress for the film "Anino sa Likod ng Buwan."

For the best director, it ws Jerrold Tarog who bagged the award for the film "heneral Luna." While the fim "Taklub" by Centerstage production won best picture.
