The defending middleweight champion entered the fight as the crowed chant in a full support, with Bisping taking the bout on short notice.
Rockhold occupied the center of the Octagon and looked to pick the Brit off from the distance. The American looked calm and confident but as Rockhold stepped forward, catching Bisping with jab, landed a shot to the chest before following it up with a left hook which knocked the champion down.
Rockhold bounced straight back up but Bisping put him down again with another left hook before applying some ground and pound to finish the game.
