Huge 'Tornado' spotted at Tacloban airport sign of severe thunder storm and floods - PAGASA

A huge tornado spotted over Tacloban City Airport on Saturday, with videos of the phenomenon going viral.

Whatever you call it like Supercell Thunderstorm, Storm, Thunder cloud, Cloud Formation or whatever, nakakatakot sya. Hindi sya joke.

This happened bago bumuhos yung napakalakas na ulan but before pa umulan napaka lakas naman ng hangin.

Lets just Thank GOD na nalusaw sya. Kasi kung nadevelop sya and na form sya to something else. Super delikado sya.

In a report in 24 Oras on sunday, PAGASA said that the event signals a severe thunderstorm, with similar incidents happening often in areas near the ocean and other large bodies of water.

"Hindi 'yan tornado. 'Yan and hitsura ng severe thunderstorm. Nagkaroon ng thunderstormdulot ng Inter Tropical Convergence Zone," said weather forecaster Aldczar Aurello.

He added," Iwasan kung maaari kasi may kidlat 'yan, at ang unang tatamaan ay 'yung pinakamalapit sa base ng thunderstorm."
