A caliber 60 machine gun was recovered during a raid in Pikit, North Cotabato, on Tuesday. Police later traced the said machine was assigned to one of the 44 Police Special Action Force (SAF) who died in Mamasapano clash with Moro bandits in January 2015, reports from Philippine News Agency.
Supt. Maximo Sebastian, chief of PNP-12 Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Force(RAIDSTF) said Karim did not resist of his arrest and voluntarily surrendered.
Nasser Karim, son of Senior Inspector Sindatu Karim, Pikit town deputy chief, was arrested during the operation. The machine gun was seized from Karim's house during the raid.
