Before the death of New York City Police Officer Wenjian Liu and his partner on December 2014, Officer Liu had been married not quite three months. That night, as his family and his fellow officers mourn, his wife asked the hospital to retrieve his sperm, so that she might have his child someday.
On Tuesday, Officer Liu's wife, Sanny Liu, gave birth to a baby girl at a hospital, more than two years after his death, report in NYPDNEWS said. The baby has been named Angelina.
Thanks to the miracle of modern science, officer Liu and Sanny had always planned on having children, but their plans were tragically disrupted by December 20, 2014 incident were Lui was killed in the line of duty.
"I got pregnant through the (in-vitro fertilization) procedure," said Sanny," and I told my friends,"It's going to be a baby girl." My friend said,'No, you haven't even checked the sonograms,'but I was right!"
