Sabor Bisaya Food Expo and Culinary Competition, July 19-21, 2017

The three-day Sabor Bisaya Food Expo and Culinary Competition has opened today July 19, 2017 at SMX Convention Center Bacolod City.

The event was organized by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRANO), Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines-VI, and National Food Showdown.

Sabor Bisaya was originally started by chef Juan Miguel Gaston to help upgrade the food, hospitality and tourism industry in Western Visayas to international standards through competitions and to provide a venue for networking among industry leaders.

Sabor Bisaya 2017 gathers 14 competing schools, and 12 food establishments in Negros Island Region and Panay Island along with suppliers that will showcase machiniries, ingredients, and other related services in 34 exhibition booths.

The seminars will tackle various topics, including “The Current Trends and Issues in Hospitality and Industry Management,” “Globalization in Tourism Industry,” “Coaching for Success,” “Managing an Event as a Pro,” “Your Destiny to Wellness,” and “Learning the Art of Specialty Brewing.”

Seminar fee is P200 for each topic.

The trade exhibition will be positioned to assist local businesses further develop by serving as network linking local food establishments and other clients to suppliers.

Exhibit entrance fee is PHP50.
