Despacito reach 3 billion views,the most viewed in YouTube

Despite government of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia banned "Despacito" on state its run radio and television, thought that it might slow the song's record-breaking popularity.

The ban applies only to government-run radio and stations, not to private stations or YouTube or the music streaming services fueling the song's success.

Communications Minister Salleh Said Keruak said recently that the song was reviewed and banned because of public complaint that the lyrics are obscene. Salleh urged private radio stations to censor the song themselves out of sensitivity to local culture.

Despacito is now the most streamed song with 4.6 billion streams across all platforms, its music video is now the most viewed in YouTube.

The news was announced by the platform on Twitter, with a video of single Luis Fonsi saying that the song is the first to reach three billion views on YouTube.



Despacito is the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee. The song was released in January but reached global satus when a remix was released featuring Justin Bieber.
