The P912 million supplemental budget of Negros Occidental has been reserved for the 33 major projects in the province, the visayandailystar reported. Board Member Salvador Escalante, chairperson of the SP Finance committee said that the P912 million is part of the P1.4 billion loan of the province from the Department of Finance.
Assistant Provincial Administration Ma. Mina Pellejo, who briefed members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on the status of projects for MDFO loan funding in Negros Occidental, reported that projects already approved by the Policy Governing Board of MDFO were farm-to-market roads - P549 million; Sagay Port-P86 million, Kabankalan Airport runway- P30 million and San Enrique Public Market - P58,600,000.
Moreover, project has been lined up for approval by the MDFO technical review committee are the San Carlos road concreting project- P30 M, bridge construction in Isabela - P60M, Toboso government center - P30M, Candoni public market - P50M, La Castellana public market - P60M, Calatrava Hospital - P40M, Bago City Public Market - P88M, Multi-Purpose Building (Capitol) - P50M and ICT project - P85M.
The 105-hectare Kabankalan airport is situated in Barangay Hilamonan which started the development since 2007.
