Charleanne Jandic, a woman who rescued MRT passenger receives BAYANI AWARD

Do you remember Charleanne Jandic, a medical intern who rescued an MRT passenger? She received a Kabayan Bayani Award on Monday, November 20 from Kabayan Partylist Group.

Jandic together with PO2 Danilo Agustin of the Eastern Police District are among the first recipients of this award. These two are among the first to respond and give Angeline Fernando immediate aid, the 24 year-old woman fell down the track of MRT 3 where the right arm got severed.

Kabayan party-list Rep. Ron Salo earlier said that he wants to give recognition to Jandic in response to her heroism.

Because of her decisiveness that made possible for Angeline to have successfully reattached the severed arm at the Makati Medical Center. Jandic looked for the detached arm and requested it to be placed inside an icebox to raise the possibility of reattachment.

Jandic’s heroism motivates Kabayan Rep. Salo of Kabayan party list to rename his proposed law, the Emergency Medical Services System Bill to “Charlie Jandic Law”. The proposed law will mandate the installation of permanent emergency responders in each city in the country.
