Manila, Philippines - Malacanang has suspended work in government offices on December 26 and on January 2, 2018 under the memorandum circular No.37, signed by Executive Secretary Medialdea. All works for government offices, government-owned and-controlled corporations, government financial institution, local government units and state universities and colleges are suspended.
This is to give the employees of the government full opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families.
Moreover, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, through Supreme Court Spokesperson Theodore Te, announced that she has authorized the suspension of work in all courts nationwide on December 26 and January 2.
