DFA: 2 Pinay nurses killed in a car accident in Australia

Manila - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that two Filipina nurses were killed in a car accident happened in Australia on Friday.



Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano send its condolences to the family of the victims of car crash. According to a report from Philippine Ambassador to Australia Minda Cruz, the crash also injured the husband, three children and another relative of one of the fatalities.

The victims were on board a Dodge Journey that collided head on with a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by 65-year-old ma along a highway in Wallaroo, about an hour away from Canberra.

They were on their way to Melbourne to attend a religious event of El Shaddai when the accident happened.

The DFA did not disclosed the identity of those killed in action but, described them as active members of the Filipino community in Canberra.
