March 2018 ALS A&E Examination Results: Elementary Passers

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA), announces the results of the Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (ALS A&E) Test conducted on March 4, 2018 for Luzon cluster and on March 11, 2018 for Visayas and Mindanao clusters. 

The 2017-2018 ALS A&E exam results are expected to be released this week (June 11-14).

Deped Memorandum No. 006, s. 2018 issued in January 2018 stated that Test results shall be released not more than 3 months after the date of examination. Examinees shall receive their Certificate of Rating (COR) through the Schools Division Offices (SDOs).

Note that passers of the March 2018 ALS A&E, who undertook the old basic education curriculum before the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, are now eligible candidates for higher education beginning school year (SY) 2018-2019 (DETAILS: ALS A&E Test passers granted more options for further education – DepEd).

Meanwhile, DepEd retained 60% passing score for March 2018 ALS A&E test (Memorandum No. 076 series of 2018) relative to the results, low passing rate, in the November 2017 exams.

ALS A&E is a paper and pencil test designed to measure the competencies of those who have neither attended nor finished elementary or secondary education in the formal school system.

Passers of the A&E Test are given a certificate/diploma, bearing the DepEd seal and the signature of the Secretary, certifying their competencies as comparable graduates of the formal school system. They are qualified to enroll in secondary and post-secondary schools.
