Hindilyn Diaz, craving for cheesecake and bubble tea after winning gold medal in the Asian Games 2018

The first person who received gold medal for the Philippines in the Asian Games 2018 held in Jakarta International Expo Hall A in Indonesia is Hidilyn Diaz. The weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz's gold medal is worth P6 million and it is expected to received more cash from different agencies including private sectors.

According to the Republic Act 10699, which expands the coverage of incentives granted to national athletes and coaches, the country's only female Olympic silver medalist will get P2 million from the government.

Hidilyn believes that she can turn Rio 2016 silver into Tokyo 2020 gold after winning the women's 53kg together with her Chinese coach Gao Kaiwen. 



"My coach has been with me for two months, "she said of Gao, who is also head coach of the Chinese national women's army team.""I am so grateful for him. He made a difference in my lifts. He's a positive person and I like to have him around me," She added.
