China Telecom and Dennis Uy's Udenna Corp won 3rd telco search

Manila, Philippines - Dennis Uy's Udenna Corp. based in Davao, Chelsea Logistic Holdings, partnered with China's Telecommunications and the Mindanao Islamic Telephone Corporation, Inc.(Mislatel) has been declared as the winning bidder for the search on Philippine third telco.



Meanwhile, two bidders were disqualified by the National Telecommunications Commission selection committee for failing to meet requirements however, SEAR Telecom consortium by Chavit Singson group of companies LCS, Tier1 and the Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (PT&T) can still appeal the disqualification, Philstar reported.

Despite Udenna and Mislatel a newbie in telecommunications business, still the consortium are confident to perform well as the country's third telco player through the expertise of China Telecommunications Corporation. China Telecommunications Corporation is one of the world's largest and most experienced fixed and mobile network operators in China.

The company has a record of 250 million subscribers and ranked 174th in the Forbes World's Largest Public Companies list.

The company was first announced by Presidential Communications Operations Office Martin Andanar in december 2017 as the third telco for the countries slow connectivity.

However, Udenna company is among the fastest growing holding companies in the Philippines for retails of petroleum products and lubricants of Phoenix Petroleum.
