She was about her nationality and how she became a beauty queen. The host, Kelly Ripa was also surprised seeing Catriona Gray's photo winning Miss Philippines when she was 5 years old.

Gray bear with a stunning yellow dress with pony tailed hair, she looked perfectly gorgeous inside and out as the host of Good Morning America  - Ginger Zee described.

Gray was first asked about her mother's vision during her childhood.  Her mother Normita Magnayon once dreamed and told her, someday you will be winning a prestigious beauty pageant wearing a red gown - the color that she wore Miss Universe finals night in Bangkok in December.

"When I was 13, and she first told me, I thought nothing of it. I was young, I didn't really have that interest in pageant yet, but to see it come into fruition, I was just like,'Mum, are you hiding anything else about my future? I want to know!" She told.

The Miss Universe 2018 also shared about her advocacy of helping children to have quality education.

"I really believe that education is transformative, it's something that you can give to a child or to a person that can never be taken away from them which is why I'm so passionate about it," she said.

"So I work with an organizations called Young Focus Philippines and they work to give quality access to education for impoverished areas. So these kids, without NGO's like that, might not ever experience going to school, experiencing developing a love for learning which at the end of the day that's really what can pull a family out of poverty, so it's something that I'm very passionate about," she added.

Ryan Seacrest commended the beauty queen's parents for raising her well. "Here's an example of good parenting. I'm just thinking, 'Wow! Your parents must be remarkable!"
