Queen to perform at Oscars 2019 - Confirmed

It's confirmed! The 70s British band 'Queen' will rock this year's Oscars, the academy on Monday, February 18 announced via Twitter.


The Grammy-nominee Adam Lambert, who has collaborated with the original band members guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor has been touring together since 2011.


However, Bohemian Rhapsody, an award-winning 2018 movie that tells the story of Queen's iconic lead singer Freddie Mercury is up for five nominations at the Oscars this year as Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing and Best Actor for Rami Malek as Freddie. 
Other performers to expect are lady gaga and Bradley Cooper to perform "Shallow" from "A Atar Is Born," while Bette Midler will sing "The Place Where Lost Things Go" from "Marry Poppins Returns."


The 91st Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 24 (US Time) at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles California.
